Nasa to fly helicopter on Mars for first time

This small helicopter is ready to be the primary to fly on one other planet.

Ingenuity is a 1.8kg (4lb) helicopter that travelled to Mars inside Nasa’s Perseverance rover, which landed in February 2021.

Nasa say it is now aiming to check it on Monday 19 April however admits it will not be profitable, wherein case they will attempt once more later within the week.

Flying on the Red Planet is not easy – as BBC science reporter Laura Foster and Nasa programs engineer Farah Alibay clarify.
