Actor Felix Silla, famously known for his role as Cousin Itt on 'The Addams Family,' dies at 84



Silla handed away after a battle with pancreatic most cancers, his supervisor Timothy Beal advised Source.

“He was a great friend, a great client and he will be missed,” Beal stated.

Fellow actor and Silla’s good friend of over 40 years Gil Gerard confirmed his passing and tweeted a tribute. Silla and Gerard have been castmates within the 1979 motion film “Buck Rogers in the 25th Century” and continuously participated in panel discussions collectively at conventions like Dragon Con.

“Felix died just a few hours ago and the only good I can draw from his passing is that he didn’t suffer any longer,” Gerard stated. “I will miss him terribly, especially the great time we had at our panels.”

He portrayed the bushy Cousin Itt on the “The Addams Family” throughout its two-season run beginning in 1965. But his profession spanned a number of many years and included roles in 1983’s “Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi,” the place he performed an Ewok, and a task within the 1987 movie “Spaceballs,” a spoof of the Star Wars movies.

The actor did stunt work on “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom,” “E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial” and “Poltergeist.”

Silla was anticipated to enter hospice care on Thursday, based on an earlier tweet from Gerard, who stated he had spoken to his good friend briefly.

Silla is survived by his spouse Sue and daughter Bonnie. His son Michael died March 22, 2020, at age 45, based on his publicist Bonnie Vent, who described him as a pleasant and humble man.

Silla was three toes, 11 inches tall and his spouse is four toes, eight inches tall, Vent stated.

“Felix used to tell everyone he married a tall blonde,” Vent stated. “He is beloved by all that knew him.”
